Hi and welcome! I’m Lauren – an artist, mom of two young girls, and the founder of rina bula, named after the Carina Nebula, a dazzling region of space 7,500 light years away that gives birth to giant new stars.

rina bula is dedicated to nurturing the limitless potential within every girl, fostering an environment where self-expression, inclusivity, and unity thrive. Our mission is to shatter stereotypes and celebrate the diverse talents and passions of young girls, encouraging them to dream big and achieve greatness on their own terms. 

I launched rina bula when my oldest daughter, Viv – then three – wanted a "cool space necklace" for her birthday. Finding limited options, I created one for her. And then just kept going. 

rina bula isn’t just about space. It’s about giving girls the chance to fulfill their unique potential, whatever that may be. From science to art, we celebrate every interest. I want my daughters – and girls everywhere – to be able to tell the world who they are and what they want vs. the other way around. 

To foster more opportunity for girls around the globe, we donate a portion of the proceeds from every purchase to Girls Inc., a nonprofit that inspires and empowers girls to be the strong, smart, and bold leaders of today and tomorrow.
